On 31 Jan, H.E. Wang Wentian, Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Aun Pornmoniroth, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Ambassador Wang noted that the national leaders of both countries reached significant consensus and signed a series of cooperation documents during the official visit by Prime Minister Hun Sen to China. The Chinese side would like to closely cooperate with the Cambodian side to implement the outcomes of the visit.

Deputy Prime Minister Aun Pornmoniroth noted that the statement of free assistance and increase in rice import quota during the visit by Prime Minister Hun Sen once again signaled the firm support by China to Cambodia at its difficult period. The Ministry of Economy and Finance would like to keep close cooperation with the Chinese side, including the Chinese Embassy, to implement the significant consensus reached by national leaders of both countries.
