On January 14, 2019, H.E. Wang Wentian, Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia, attended the opening ceremony of the Phnom Penh 3rd Ring Road Project with Prime Minister Hun Sen. More than 10,000 people, including Cambodian government officials, Chinese diplomats and locals were also in attendance.

Ambassador Wang said that Cambodia has witnessed rapid economic development under the leadership of the Royal Government headed by Prime Minister Hun Sen over the past two decades. Delighted to see the achievements of national development made by the Cambodian people, the Chinese side would continue to work together with the Cambodian side to forge a community of shared future between the two countries.

Prime Minister Hun Sen noted that Cambodia’s development achievements were attributed to peace, stability, solidarity and arduous work of its people. Cambodia commends China for its selfless assistance to Cambodia’s infrastructure construction, improvement of people’s livelihood, as well as economic development, and hopes that China will continue to support Cambodia in construction of roads, bridges, power-generation facilities, etc.
