On December 26, 2018, H.E. Wang Wentian, the new Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia, paid a courtesy call on Samdech Say Chhum, Vice President of the Cambodian People’s Party and President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Ambassador Wang noted that China would work with Cambodia to continuously enhance the friendly exchanges and cooperation between legislative bodies of two countries, deepen the experience exchanges in governing a state, and promote the China-Cambodia comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation to new level.

President Say Chhum welcomed Ambassador Wang on his assumption of office. He noted that the senate would like to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and the National people’s Congress of China, and make due contribution to the long-term sound development of Cambodia-China relationship.
