On Dec 25, 2018, the Chinese embassy hosted a book donation ceremony, which was attended and addressed by Ambassador Wang Wentian. About 70 representatives from 10 Chinese-teaching universities and schools attended the ceremony.

Ambassador Wang said that China attaches great importance to the educational & cultural exchanges and cooperation with Cambodia. In order to further meet the demand of Chinese language education in Cambodia, the Ambassador’s Book Corner program this year has donated books to 10 institutions, compared with 5 from last year. More students could enjoy the benefits and learn more about Chinese culture through reading.

The representatives spoke highly of the significant contribution made by the Ambassador’s Book Corner program to local Chinese language education.

Initiated by the Chinese embassy in Phnom Penh in 2015, the Ambassador’s Book Corner program this year mobilized and handed out 570,000 RMB worth of books in various disciplines.
