From 9 to 12 January, 2019, the 30th Chinese naval escort fleet paid a 4-day official visit to Cambodia. Over 500 people attended the welcoming ceremony.

During a deck reception hosted by the fleet, Chinese officers and seamen held a tug of war, a football game and other cultural activities with their Cambodian colleagues, promoting friendship and mutual trust between the navies of both countries. The fleet also organized a Warship Open Day, which hosted over 3,400 visitors, including Cambodian naval officers and seamen, local Chinese and Cambodians, etc.
