Introduction of Green ASEAN Scholarship Program
In the interest of actively responding to the call for China-ASEAN clean energy cooperation and jointly building a China-ASEAN energy community with a shared future, SPIC and Guangxi University for Nationalities jointly set up the "SPIC Green ASEAN Scholarship".
一、Total ASEAN Green Scholarships and Disbursement Plan
1. The total amount of the scholarship is 5 million yuan. From 2022 to 2026, the annual amount is 1 million yuan. After 2026, SPIC will negotiate with Guangxi Minzu University to extend the scholarship period according to the evaluation situation.
2. in principle, Scholarships are issued once a year in April each year. Each time, 200 students will be awarded (if the number of places in the current year is not used up, the number of places will be postponed to the next year). The amount of each award is RMB 5,000 per person. Students can apply every year and can only apply for the scholarship once a year.
二、Prerequisites for applying for the scholarship
1. Who should be an international student of Guangxi Minzu University of the nationality from ASEAN countries (including Chinese language students for more than one year and undergraduate, master, and doctoral degree students).
2. Who should be sound in body and mind, friendly to China, abide by the laws and regulations of the Chinese government, and abide by the rules and regulations of the school.
3. Good character, serious learning attitude and good grades.
4. The scholarship has not been subject to any disciplinary action during the academic year.
三、Scholarship application and distribution
1. For students who meet the prerequisites for applying for the scholarship, they can fill in the scholarship application approval form and submit the application to the school.
2. The university conducts a preliminary evaluation based on the applicant's situation and the applicant's academic performance.
3. After the university will preliminarily review the list of applicants and seek opinions from SPIC, the university will publish the list on campus and hold a scholarship awarding ceremony together with SPIC.
4. Scholarships will be issued in the form of RMB cash.

Brief introduction of SPIC

Based on close cooperation, SPIC and Guangxi University for Nationalities set up the Green ASEAN Scholarship, aiming to spread the concept of green development to ASEAN students and to further expand the propagation effect of the concept of green development in ASEAN countries through the international students from ASEAN countries. More importantly, the purpose of this move is to encourage the all-round development of ASEAN students, so that they can become the link of cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and ASEAN and the pillars of the transformation and development of clean energy in ASEAN, thus benefiting ASEAN countries and their people.
